About this course

In LogicMonitor, adding devices is the process of specifying devices that should be monitored. There are several methods available in LogicMonitor for adding devices. Devices can be added one at a time, using either a wizard mode or a manual mode, or they can be added in bulk using a feature called NetScans. This course covers the methods for adding devices in detail to help you ensure your infrastructure is monitored comprehensively.

  • Add a single device through the wizard interface
  • Complete a basic NetScan to add devices in bulk by pining a range of IP address
  • Describe how advanced NetScan can be used for custom ICMP scans, CSV upload, and scripted imports.
  • Understand that the LogicMonitor REST API can be used for programmatically adding and managing devices
